Inside DeFoor Hospitality Group

DeFoor Hospitality Group is a family-owned hotel management company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Founded in the spring of 2021 to manage the hotel portfolio for DeFoor Brothers Development, the company launched with the management of The Westin Chattanooga — Marriott’s 2019 Hotel of the Year and the city’s only AAA Four-Diamond hotel.

Shortly after, Hotel Indigo Chattanooga joined the portfolio. Located in the heart of downtown, this urban-chic boutique hotel has quickly become a top choice for travelers seeking a stylish and locally inspired stay.

By summer 2021, DeFoor Hospitality Group expanded its footprint with three new additions: Chattanooga Marriott Downtown, the city’s largest hotel and connected to the Chattanooga Convention Center; Hotel Bo, a retro-style property in the heart of the West Village; and The Islander Inn, a laid-back, beachside retreat in sunny Vero Beach, Florida.

In 2023, Hotel Clemons became part of the portfolio. Just down the street from The Westin, this historic, apartment-style hotel features 54 spacious suites, a welcoming lobby with workspace, and a full bar — a favorite for families and extended-stay guests alike.

Most recently, in June 2025, DeFoor Hospitality Group welcomed Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Hamilton Place, further strengthening its presence in the Chattanooga market.
